Ark Project

Ark Project

The Ark Project was one of GCSI’s research-oriented efforts, created to examine questions surrounding the biblical account of Noah’s Ark, the Flood, and the long history of reported Ark investigations. Rather than treating the subject as a matter of speculation alone, the project sought to bring together historical claims, field reports, geographic questions, and creation research in a form that could be examined and discussed.

A major outcome of the project was the development of ArkSearch.org as a dedicated public-facing resource. The site gave the project a home for organizing material related to Ark research and helped connect GCSI’s broader creation-science work with a focused historical and geographical question.

The project also reflected an approach that became increasingly important in GCSI’s later work: going beyond classroom discussion by connecting biblical questions with places, artifacts, field investigation, and primary-source research. GCSI did not present the project as having discovered Noah’s Ark. Its value was in gathering, evaluating, and communicating the evidence and claims surrounding the search.

As GCSI’s work broadened into biblical archaeology, history, and field education, that research emphasis continued through the Association for Biblical Science & Archaeology.
